Elderberry Protein Shake by Danielle Bear

Elderberry is one of my favorite natural remedies for immune protection. I can think of so many times I was beginning to feel sick, loaded up on elderberry, and then immediately felt the warning signs of an impending cold disappear.

An elderberry is the berry from the European elder tree. Rich in antioxidants and vitamins, elderberries have an earthy and tart taste. Elderberry balances mood, increases energy, fights stress, and most importantly, helps relieve allergy, cold, and flu symptoms.

I first discovered this product a few years back in gummy form, and truthfully made my way through each bottle far too quickly because I was hooked on the gummy indulgence – that quick blast of processed sugar I never would normally have in my diet. But as my health journey progressed, I began to look for other ways to enjoy this superfood (without sacrificing my health with processed gummy vitamins).

Sneaking elderberry into a protein shake is a perfect way to enjoy this incredible superfood. This creamy protein shake is decadently drizzled with Groovy Butter’s Stone Ground Almond Butter, made with supernova almonds and organic CBD hemp extract, to help you find calm, relief, and focus – all of which can help you protect your health. Groovy Butter elevates this immunity-boosting, protein-packed smoothie without changing the flavor profile like some CBD supplements might.
